I have been working on this song for a fair while, it’s a cover version of one of my favourite songs from my youth and was released in 1983 40 years ago. Its called Frozen in Time by The Thompson Twins it also goes by the name of Kamikaze on the LP ‘Quick Step & Side Kick’ one of the most important albums of my life.
I sent the almost finished version to a couple mates last night and they both said I should send it to Tom Bailey to see what he thinks. After about an hour I did. And to my delight I got a reply where Tom said he liked it. This was pretty amazing that a musician you have respected all your life likes some work that you have created based on what they were doing when I was young.
I then asked Tom if it would be ok if I put the song out. His reply was ‘Of course. I think you captured the mood of the song.’
I am just over the moon with this.
I really hope you like it.
